ITV Emmerdale fans 'work out' Kim Tate's kidnapper - and it involves John Sugden

Send Push

Emmerdale fans seem to think they have worked out Kim Tate's (played by Claire King) kidnapper - and it has something to do with John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

In upcoming scenes, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) is filled with regret after the blackmailer ups the stakes to £50k, and he is left with no choice but to sell his shares in the haulage business to Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) in order to get the money.

Although, when he arrives back at Home Farm, he realises Kim is missing. He is alarmed when he receives a call from his blackmailer informing him they've kidnapped her - and fans think it could be newcomer John.

Taking to a Facebook fan page, one fan asked: "Why was John cagey near his van when Tracy went up? Who was in there or what?"

"He has Will's money I guess," one replied while another said: "Yeah I was thinking he's cagey as he wouldn't go to the hospital or let medics look at him."

Someone else suggested: "He's the blackmailer and he's got Kim."

Another agreed: "Something strange about John, think it's Kim as she has been kidnapped and I think he has something to do with Rose."

The theories come following last week's dramatic barn fire, which almost took the lives of several villagers.

However, John was one of the heroes who swooped in to help and ended up saving Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly) and Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb).

But, when Tracy questioned him on Nate's (Jurell Carter) whereabouts, John seemed nervous and was keen to hop in his van.

When quizzed on where Nate was, John confirmed he had left the village already. John explained: "He wasn't there, he left before it happened, he mentioned Shetland."

In shock, Tracy responded: Yeah, I knew he was going there, I just thought I might have seen him before he took off."

"I am sorry," John concluded as Tracy added: "It's not your fault, is it."

This also led fans to believe that John had something to do with Nate's disappearance - but is he telling the truth?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
