The Repair Shop fans were left reaching for their tissues after recent episode featured what many called a 'gut-wrenching' story. In the moving scene, Camilla Greenwood visited the beloved show with her late mother's teddy bear, which was salvaged from a devastating house fire.

The toy held extraordinary significance for Camilla as she opened up to the shows' restoration duo Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell about its origins and its bond with her mum Linda, who tragically perished in the blaze.

With the scorched bear in hand, taken from a paper bag, she shared: "I brought in a very sad looking bear of my mum's. He's seen better days hasn't he."

Inquiring about the bear's history, Amanda said: "He certainly has. Tell us about your bear." To which Camilla said: "He was given to my mum when she was little and he was with her throughout her childhood."

Continuing, she expressed: "Then when I came along, he was always kept in my room and he has sort of both in my life."

Discussing her beloved mum, she added: "It has always just been me and my mum since I was six months old and she was a very special woman."

Interjecting with compassion, Julie noted: "You said was." Camila bravely held back tears as she recounted: "My mum died last year. There was a fire at her house that destroyed the house and my mum didn't get out."

Visibly moved, Julie responded: "Oh Camila I'm so sorry." Persevering, Camila remarked on the survival of the bear: "It's remarkable that the bear survived."

Overcome with emotion, Camila tearfully declared: "It's important for me to try and rescue at least something from all of our memories that we built together."

Amanda and Julie, a pair of skilled restorers, took on the challenge of rejuvenating a beloved teddy bear, reports the Express. Later in the episode, viewers were gripped as Camilla returned to The Repair Shop barn to see her cherished bear's transformation.

The sight of her childhood toy restored to its original splendour brought Camilla to tears, a moment that also tugged at the heartstrings of those watching at home.

One viewer tweeted: "OMG! This teddy bear story on #TheRepairShop is heartbreaking! " Another shared their feelings: "Amazing the bear survived but so sad her mum didn't make it. Really sad, this is gonna be the teary item of the episode."

A third commented: "My goodness, how brave was the young lady with the bear? The rest of us, meanwhile, are in bits. Joyous television."
