Watch: Railway employee makes e-rickshaw driver do sit-ups for crossing closed tracks

An e-rickshaw got stuck in the middle of a railway crossing while trying to cross the gate when the signal was red. A railway employee present at the moment gave him an earful words and made him do sit-ups as punishment. The video was recorded by a user and shred across multiple social media platforms.

As per the video, the e-rickshaw driver was in a hurry to cross the railway crossing before it closes. His e-rickshaw got stuck in the middle of the railway track. It remained stuck there for a long time after the gates were closed.

A railway official present there firstly scolded him for his actions. He asked the driver that was he unable to see the crossing before attempting this dangerous stunt. He later made the driver do sit-ups on the railway track and warned him not to commit such a mistake in future.


The incident occurred in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh . Meanwhile, the train crossed the junction and a major accident was prevented.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Uttar Pradesh has directed the GRP Superintendent in Lucknow to look into the matter. Meanwhile, Railway Seva, a platform that handles passenger complaints on social media, asked the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in the northeast division and the Divisional Railway Manager to take necessary action.


Social media users praised the railway staff for their quick and responsible response.
