NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attacked Congress , claiming that people who gave the party a chance in their states are now regretting it. He pointed to the Congress governments in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, alleging that people in these states are suffering from inflation, corruption, and unfulfilled promises.

PM Modi , during an election rally in Haryana , accused the Congress of being the most “dishonest and deceitful party” in the country. He highlighted the chaos, high inflation, and corruption in Karnataka, saying that development work has come to a standstill since the Congress government came to power.

"Those who gave Congress a chance in their states are regretting it. Congress' lies have not spared even Karnataka and Telangana. There is a lot of chaos in Karnataka. Inflation and corruption are at their peak there. Development work has come to a standstill. After the Congress government came to power, both investment and jobs have been reduced. Congress is showing how good states can be ruined," he said.

PM Modi claimed that no citizen is happy in Himachal Pradesh and the Congress government has failed to fulfill its promises, forcing government employees to go on strike for their salaries.

"Himachal Pradesh is in your neighbourhood. Two years ago, the Congress government was formed there. But what is the situation there today? No citizen of Himachal is happy today. Congress fed lies to every section, none of the promises made were fulfilled. Today, government employees are forced to go on strike for their salary. Even the chief minister and ministers have to pretend to give up their salary. There, Congress had promised to give Rs 1500 to women and thousands of women are still waiting for this money. In Himachal, Congress has made electricity, water, petrol, diesel, milk, everything expensive. There is no other party in the country more dishonest and deceitful than Congress," he added.

The Prime Minister also took a veiled jab at the Aam Aadmi Party, referring to it as the "Kattar Beimaan Party" (Extremely Dishonest Party), accusing it of winning elections only to empty the treasury, as seen in Punjab. He challenged the Congress to implement its farmer schemes in Karnataka and Telangana if it dares to do so.

PM Modi praised Haryana's progress in recent years, saying that it has reached among the top states in the country in terms of investment and income. He highlighted the BJP government's recent decision to provide free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh to all elderly citizens above the age of 70, benefiting lakhs of families in Haryana.

Urging the people to bring the BJP back to power in Haryana, PM Modi expressed confidence that the state has already decided to form a BJP government for the third consecutive time. He also lauded chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, who is contesting from the Ladwa constituency, for his dedication to Haryana's development.
