An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir 's Kishtwar district on Saturday evening, according to police reports . The authorities confirmed that contact has been established, and an operation is currently underway.
"Based on specific inputs, a search operation was launched in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar, contact has been established and an operation is going on," said J-K Police.
"Exchange of fire has taken place between search teams of security forces and hiding terrorists near Danna Dhar forest area, upper reaches of Gurinal village under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chhatroo, District #Kishtwar," said Kishtwar district police in a post on X.
