They slowly get back to their feet, exchanging punches back and forth. Out of nowhere, Cena lands the AA and goes for the pin, but Orton kicks out at two. Cena goes for more shoulder tackles, but Orton catches him with a surprise RKO and nearly gets the three-count, but Cena kicks out again.
Cena regains control, hits another AA, but Orton still kicks out at two. Cena then sets up for the Punt Kick, but Orton dodges and accidentally sends Cena crashing into the referee. With the referee down, Cena slides out and grabs his WWE Title, intending to strike Orton, but Orton hits him with an RKO from out of nowhere. He tries for the pin, but Cena kicks out again.
Frustrated, Orton clears the announce table. Cena attacks him from behind, and the referee gets caught in the chaos. Orton turns the tables by picking Cena up and delivering an AA off the announce table.
Orton then sets up a table and goes for another attack, but Cena fights back. Still, Orton hits a shocking second AA through the table. Both superstars make their way back into the ring, where Orton nails Cena with another RKO and goes for the pin. A new referee rushes in, but Cena kicks out at two.
Chaos continues as the new referee gets accidentally taken out. After that Orton hits another RKO, but there’s no referee to count the pin. Nick Aldis and WWE officials come out to control the situation, but Orton, furious, lays out Aldis with an RKO, followed by RKOs to every official in sight. R-Truth runs in to help but also gets dropped with an RKO.
Amid the madness, Cena rises and hits Orton with a low blow, then hits him with the WWE Title. The original referee crawls back into the ring, and Cena covers Orton to retain the WWE Championship.
