“We want to win as many as we can”: Ryne Stanek remains confident after a good start against the Marlins

The New York Mets managed to win against the Miami Marlins . While battling the weather conditions, Mets players wore ski masks to stay warm, as their pitching, which already had the best ERA in baseball, was dominant again against the Miami Marlins. With a solid score of 2-0, the Mets managed to win the game with strong pitching and defense.

“It’s good, we want to win as many as we can, and I know it’s early but it’s really important to get off to a good start and I think we just gotta keep things going.”

Reacting to a brilliant game, the New York Mets’ manager, Carlos Mendoza , praised his team. He said:


“It’s contagious — it’s like hitting, They’re feeling pretty good about themselves. They know they’ve got each other’s backs.”

The New York Mets managed to score well during the game. In the third inning, Mets’ ace Francisco Lindor started things off with a smart bunt hit. Lindor then ran all the way home when Juan Soto hit a double.

Carlos Mendoza further reacted to the game and said:

“It looks good, right? You envision those two doing special things.”

Mets’ manager Carlos Mendoza says his team has great players and good people
The New York Mets’ manager Carlos Mendoza was asked in a press conference as to what sets the Mets apart from the Los Angeles Dodgers, to which Mendoza candidly responded saying he believes his team has great players and a pretty good fan base. Mendoza said:

"We've got great players, good people, and a solid fan base.”

Further, Mendoza added his team has two important players. He said:

"We've got Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor."

During the off season, the New York Mets underwent many changes, and they have managed to go off to a decent start this year.
