New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson shared his winning strategy against Boston Celtics after Game 4 performance

The reigning NBA champions, the Boston Celtics, suffered a loss against the New York Knicks in Game 4. The Celtics team and fans went into a frenzy when their star, Jayson Tatum, had to be carried off the court after a non-contact injury. Amidst all the chaos, the Knicks’ Jalen Brunson delivered a power-packed performance, scoring 39 points. Talking about his motivation through the game, Brunson said:

"I was just in a flow and doing whatever. I wasn't really trying to take over. It was just 'whatever we've gotta do'."

Further explaining the Knicks’ game plan, he said, "We didn't quit, kept fighting. And that's what's most important. Whenever you get in a hole you can't quit."

The Knicks were leading 118-106 when the Celtics' star, Tatum, went down after trying to dunk. Knicks’ OG Anunoby stole the ball off Tatum, whose leg gave up, leaving the team and fans worried.

Jalen Brunson ruled the game throughout and scored points regularly. He completed the first half with 13 points, but took charge of the lead in the second half when he scored 26 points, accumulating a total of 39 points in the game.

His shotmaking was outstanding, allowing him to shoot 10-17 from the field and another 3-5 from deep, which helped him emerge as the most successful player of Game 4.

Brunson and the team did have a tough start to deal with as the Game 3 winners, Boston Celtics, showed a dominant game. The things changed in the second half when Tatum went down, and gave the Knicks a good opportunity to come back and rule, which they did beautifully. In the final quarter, the Knicks had 88-85 lead, which finally did the job for them.

The Celtics have to devise a robust strategy for Game 5 to make up for the absent Jayson Tatum, should they want to stay in the competition. Currently, with a Game 4 loss, they are on the brink of elimination, and that is concerning both the players and the coach.
