Pokemon GO Crown Clash event preparation guide: All bonuses, debuts, shiny features, best tips, and more

The long-awaited debut of Kingambit is finally happening in the Pokemon GO Crown Clash event . Alongside the Big Blade Pokemon, trainers can look forward to crowned versions of Nidoking and Nidoqueen, special raids, and plenty of bonuses.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Pokemon GO Crown Clash event, from dates to wild encounters and exclusive rewards.

Pokemon GO Crown Clash event dates and times

The Crown Clash event runs from Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM to Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 8:00 PM local time.

This gives players eight full days to collect enough Candy to evolve Pawniard into Bisharp and then into Kingambit.

Pokemon GO Crown Clash Event bonuses

Trainers can take advantage of these bonuses:

- 2x XP for evolving Pokemon

- Increased Shiny odds for:

- Crowned Nidoqueen

- Crowned Nidoking

- Slowpoke

- Combee

- Litleo

- King’s Rock possible reward from catching Slowpoke

The event introduces three new Pokemon:

- Kingambit (Dark/Steel-type)

- Nidoqueen wearing a crown*

- Nidoking wearing a crown*

Pokemon marked with (*) can appear as Shiny.

- Slowpoke*

- Slakoth*

- Piplup*

- Combee*

- Snivy*

- Litleo*

- Pawniard*

Different raid tiers will feature the following Pokemon:

1-Star Raids

- Sneasel*

3-Star Raids

- Nidoqueen wearing a crown*

Pokemon GO Crown Clash Collection challenge rewards

A special Crowned Collection Challenge will be available, rewarding XP, Stardust, and a Pawniard encounter upon completion.

Crowned Collection Challenge tasks

- Catch a Snivy → Evolve a Serperior

- Catch a Piplup → Evolve an Empoleon

- Catch a Slakoth → Evolve a Slaking

- Catch a Combee → Evolve a Vespiquen

- Catch a Slowpoke → Evolve a Slowking

- Catch a Litleo → Evolve a Pyroar

Trainers at Level 31 and above also get one guaranteed Candy XL for evolving Pokemon after completing the challenge.
