Vijay Deverakonda’s much-anticipated action-drama Kingdom, directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, which was scheduled to release on May 30 , seems to have pushed its release ahead.
According to sources close to the production, the makers felt it was an inappropriate time to release a major theatrical film given the somber national mood and the volatile situation at the borders. The team is now eyeing a potential release window in July, though an official announcement is yet to be made.
The film, which marks Vijay Deverakonda’s collaboration with Gowtam Tinnanuri for the first time, has been one of the most awaited Telugu films of the year, with its teaser and promotional material receiving a strong response from audiences.The hindi teaser of the film was voiced by Ranbir Kapoor and it generated a lot of buzz. .
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda celebrated his 36th birthday on May 9. He also received a special wish from his long time friend and co-star Rashmika Mandanna, taking to social media she wrote , “I am super late yet again but happiestttt birthday Vijju. I hope your days are filled with all the blessings and love, joy, health, wealth, peace and everything else."”
