Stand-up comedian and actor Vir Das known for wooing everyone with his wit, humour and sarcasm, is also loved by fans for always putting up his views honestly on social media. Vir has now penned his thoughts on Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' which released in cinemas on Friday, June 20. The film is a remake of the Spanish film 'Champions' and stars disabled kids, apart from Aamir and Genelia D'souza Deshmukh.

Vir penned his thoughts about the movie and seemed really impressed by it. He wrote, "Folks! Go see #SitaareZameenPar Not just because it’s REALLY good and breezy. Not just because the ensemble wins your heart. Not just because it’s someone of massive stature constantly sharing his platform for meaningful content. Not just because it’s a departure from the action overload. But also because it’s genuinely funny. In a comedy scene one party has to hold power and drive. That’s basic comedy 101. The best comedy surprises you with that choice. It wears its heart on its sleeve and gives power, prominence, and punch lines to those comedy normally doesn’t. That makes it WAY funnier. Go see it! In theatres now."

The film was expected to have an opening number in single digit as it was not meant for the masses but more for the classes. Trade analysts had predicted the movie to score in the range of Rs 7-8 crore on day 1. However, it surpassed those expectations and made around Rs 11.7 crore according to Sacnilk. Due to good word of mouth, the film may see some growth on Saturday and Sunday.
