Sofia Vergara, the ‘Modern Family’ star, voiced out her disappointment of not receiving a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her role despite giving a jaw-dropping performance. The 52-year-old poured her heart out for the role of the ‘Cocaine Godmother’ in ‘Griselda’ and was instantly critically acclaimed.

Jimmy Fallon appreciated Sofia Vergara
In an interview on Monday with ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ he appreciated Sofia’s nominations, “Can we talk about how great you are? Last time you were here, we talked about Griselda, and then bang, you get nominated for a Golden Globe and you get nominated for an Emmy. Congratulations!”


In a couple of seconds, Vergara proved that she wasn’t a graceful loser and stated, “And I didn't win any of it! I didn't win any of it.” While Jimmy tried to console her and try not to ruin her mood by stating, “It doesn’t matter,’ she hit back by exclaiming, “It matters.”

When Jimmy continued that getting a nomination is an honour, Sofia took a dig at the fellow nominee who won the award. “Jodie Foster took everything.”

Sofia added that while she tried to stop Foster from getting the award, it was unfortunately too late. As the interview evolved, Jimmy asked her if she would be back again. The actress clapped back by stating, “I don't want to be back for more, for what they're not going to give me the award.”

What happened at the Golden Globes?
For the unversed, during the Golden Globes, Jodie won the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series for her role as police chief Liz Danvers in ‘True Detective: Night Country.’ However, after losing the award, Sofia felt disappointed and was seen getting to the stage and saying, “Oh no! Give me one.”
