Akshay Kumar’s latest film Khel Khel Mein has managed to survive in cinema halls for more than a month, showing resilience and proving that the film has found its connection with the audience. The film clashed with Shraddha Kapoor- Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 on 15th August, but has managed to create a niche for itself.

Over its four week run, Khel Khel Mein has garnered Rs 35.75 crore and saw a decent performance during its fifth weekend, by collecting Rs 1.5 crore . The film began its fifth week on a slow note, when it earned only Rs 20 lakh on Friday, but on Saturday the collections jumped by 135 % to collect Rs 47 lakh, and on Sunday, jumped by another 24 % to collect Rs 58 lakh, thus taking the weekend collection to Rs 1.25 crore and overall collection to Rs 37 crore. With this week’s release The Buckingham Murders starring Kareena Kapoor Khan hardly making a dent, it gives Khel Khel Mein another week to run.

Recently, Akshay Kumar marked his birthday with the announcement of Bhoot Bangla, reuniting with director Priyadarshan after 14 years. Their past collaborations have resulted in iconic films like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

Akshay's next release will be Singham Again, hitting theaters during Diwali. While Sky Force was initially slated for an October 2nd release, it has been postponed to early next year. His busy lineup also includes Welcome to the Jungle, Jolly LLB 3, and The Untold Story of C. Sankaran Nair. Additionally, reports suggest he's teaming up with Siddharth Anand for a film directed by Milan Luthria.

Khel Khel Mein, directed by Mudassar Aziz, boasts a star-studded cast including Fardeen Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal.
