Jr NTR and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga were seen having a candid chat with each other in a recent promotional video for 'Devara: Part 1', ahead of its release on September 27. In this chat, Jr NTR revealed that the action film was not originally intended to be a two-part venture.

Jr NTR shared that this Koratala Siva directorial started filming with no plan for a sequel, but later they realized that it was hard to fit the whole story into one part. “We never wanted to actually make this film in two parts. Never. We never had the intention of making it into two parts. But going deep into it, when we started shooting for it, it’s character-driven,” he stated. Video

The 'RRR' actor emphasised that the film's narrative is driven not just by his titular character, but also by Saif Ali Khan's Bhaira and Janhvi Kapoor's Thangam. He elaborated that Bhaira's role cannot be fully captured in just one part, and similarly, Janhvi’s character, Thangam, is deeply integrated into the film. The movie features a beautiful love story, but it goes beyond a typical romantic subplot. Janhvi's character plays a crucial, interconnected role within the broader story of the film.

'Devara: Part 1' features Jr NTR in dual roles as father and son, Devara and Varadha.
