Aishwarya Rai Bachchan left the internet ablaze with her day 1 look at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. The actress opted for an ivory Manish Malhotra saree with silver zari and rose gold work. What stole the show was her sindoor look which was quite a statement. But while fans are not yet over her look of day 1, she has yet again left the internet gushing with her look on the second day.
The 'Taal' actress opted for a Gaurav Gupta gown in black with a cape. As explained by Gupta, this gown is from the ‘Heiress of Clam’, a custom creation imagined in a draped form and spiritual detail. The gown is hand-embroidered with an abstract rendition of the cosmos in bursts of silver, gold, charcoal, and black, accented with micro glass crystals to capture dimension and light.
The actress wore a cape handwoven in Varanasi inscribed with a sanskrit shloka from Bhagwad Gita.
She teamed this look up with wavy hair and the internet is breathing a sigh of relief for it. These waves were refreshing from her usual straight hair and fans cannot stop swooning over her. A bold red lip colour further made this look a stand-out and classy to say the least. She was seen carrying a handwoven brocade that was wrapped around her like a shawl.
Aaradhya was also seen with her and she was also spotted in an all-black avatar as she was holding her mother's hand.
Here's how netizens reacted. A user said, "Queen for a reason 🌚" Another one said, "Someone finally burnt the straightener lot of her hairstylist" Another person commented, "It’s her personality that’s carrying her, not the clothes" A fan said, "MY MOTHER CANNESWARYA IS BACK IM LIVING!"
A fan commented, "I think I just died a little bit when the drape slipped off her shoulder! What a beauty!"
Users also felt that while on Day 1, Aishwarya gave the 'Paro' vibe from 'Devdas', today she looked like Sunheri from 'Dhoom 2'. A user said, "Now people can die peacefully. She showed up with right silhouette, hairstyle and perfect styling ❤️ Yesterday ‘Paro ‘today ‘Sunehri’."
Aishwarya had made her first appearance at Cannes in 2002 for the screening of 'Devdas'. Since then, the actress is a regular at the festival. So much so that she is referred to as the 'Queen of Cannes'.
