BJP's Parivartan rally in state from Sep 20

Send Push

Ranchi: Opposition BJP on Monday announced to roll out ‘Parivartan rally’ from September 20 in 81 assembly segments in the state. PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Jamshedpur on Sunday was a prelude to the upcoming rally aimed at covering close to 1,000km in the state.

Ahead of the state election, BJP is pinning hopes on the rally to turn the electoral tide in its favour. In 2019, BJP was thrown out of power after being in office for five years. For the opposition, mainly the BJP, tribal pockets continue to be a concern as it has not managed to win any of the five ST seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls.

Marandi said, “The purpose of this rally is to change the Hemant Soren govt which in the last five years has created new records of misgovernance and corruption. People want a change now. The rally is being planned between Sep 20 and Oct 2. It will, however, begin on different dates. Over 50 BJP leaders, both central and state level, will attend the yatra in different time frames during the rally,” he added.

Rally from Dhanbad and Sahibganj will begin on September 20 and end on September 30 covering all the assembly segments. Similarly, in Palamu and Hazaribag, it will end on September 28.
