Cleaning Sofa Cushions - If the cushion covers are removable and machine washable, wash them according to the care instructions.- For non-removable covers, clean them with mild detergent and water or the baking soda method for spot cleaning.- Take the cushions outside and air them out in the sun. Sunlight helps eliminate odours and bacteria from the fabric. 6. Deodorising the SofaIf your sofa has absorbed unwanted smells, these steps will help: Baking Soda:- Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the entire surface of the sofa. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes to absorb odors.- Use a brush to sweep off the baking soda, or shake the cushions outside to remove it. Vinegar Spray:- Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle.- Lightly mist the sofa, avoiding over-saturation.
