The "Howdy Modi!" event in Houston, where over 50,000 Indian-Americans gathered, highlighted the significance of the relationship. This three-hour event marked the first time a sitting US president shared a stage with a foreign leader in such a grand setting. Similarly, the "Namaste Trump" rally in Gujarat, attended by around 100,000 people, showcased Trump's admiration for Modi, as he praised him as an “exceptional leader” in front of an enthusiastic crowd.Former US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the United States next week. While campaigning in Michigan, Trump referred to Modi as a "fantastic man" but also raised concerns about trade, calling India a "very big abuser" of trade agreements.Modi's visit is scheduled from September 21 to 23, during which he will participate in the Quad Leaders' Summit, hosted by US President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware. Al Mason added, “In many ways, the US-India relationship had never been stronger, and the Indian American community in the United States largely credit Trump for deepening the ties between the two countries. During Trump’s presidency, one trend became overwhelmingly clear: Indian Americans, perhaps for the first time ever, felt both acknowledged and respected by the president of the United States. Therefore, a meeting between Trump and PM Modi next week in New York will further cement the bond between both leaders.”
