If you are struggling to watch channels on your telly you aren't alone. It appears that some customers are currently facing annoying issues that are turning their screens completely blank. Error messages are also being displayed, and some Sky customers say they aren't seeing a picture but can hear the sound instead.
The bug is affecting Sky's Glass TV, which uses a new way to beam content into living rooms. Instead of things coming into homes via a dish, Glass uses a broadband connection instead - it's unclear if this is the cause of the current issue, but Sky has said it's working to fix the gremlins as a 'priority'.
"We're aware of a technical issue which we believe is impacting a small number of Sky Glass customers," a Sky spokesperson told Express.co.uk
"We're investigating this as a priority and are sorry for any inconvenience caused."
There's no word on exactly how many people are being hit by the bug, but plenty of users are complaining on Sky's forum pages.
Moaning about the problems, one Sky Glass customer posted: "So this last week When i turn the Sky Glass on, on a morning it comes up with the usual page, i go to put a channel on and it says Channel loading then says technical fault after a few mins. Internet is all working and hasn't changed.
Another added: "I'm having this issue every morning I have to do a restart or I only get sound no picture."
And a Sky user posted: And I have the same issue, it's happened every morning this week. When I turn the TV on it just says 'waiting for programme to load ,then just stays blank."
Right now, it seems those affected simply need to be patient and wait for Sky to release a fix. Hopefully, that will arrive soon, and full service will be resumed.
Express.co.uk has checked our own unit and we are not affected by the problems so its seems not everyone is having problems.
We will update this article once Sky release anymore updates.
