and while committed to their roles as senior royals, evidently prioritise their family life, cherishing moments with their three children , and in their personal sanctuary.

But it's not just their children who command the attention of the Prince and Princess of Wales; they've also made room in their lives and beds for another cherished member: their cocker spaniel, Orla.

This intimate detail about the couple's home life was unexpectedly shared by Prince William on October 17, while interacting with a fan's canine companion at Duchy College.

In this casual exchange, William divulged that little Orla is a regular occupant of their bed, much to the amazement of those present.

magazine reports that Louise Harland, accompanied by her dog Jacks, divulged to Hits Radio Cornwall: "[William] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate."

William's encounter with Louise's dog Jacks, a unique Cockerjack breed, had the Prince thoroughly charmed. "[He was] absolutely in love with my little dog. He asked what breed he was and he's never met one of those breeds, he's a Cockerjack, so he's a little bit of a unique combination," Louise clarified.

Moreover, Louise recalled with a smile how the Prince couldn't resist complimenting the "soft" ears of her pet and showered him with affection.

adorable dog, Luna, gave birth to six healthy puppies back in 2020, and Royal couple William and Kate decided to adopt one of the litter, naming her Orla.

This little pooch quickly became part of the family but kept a low profile until she was revealed in a charming portrait alongside Princess Charlotte for her birthday in 2022.

The name 'Orla', with its Celtic origins meaning "golden princess", subtly reflects the couple's Royal status as the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Before Orla joined them, the royals had another beloved cocker spaniel named Lupo. He was a treasured member of their family until his passing in November 2020, which left the royals devastatedevident by their touching tribute posted on social media that read: "He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much."

While Orla is not often in the spotlight, she did enjoy a moment of fame last summer when the Duke and Duchess made a public appearance at the Royal Charity Polo Cup with the regal canine in tow.

The royals don't just share their home with a dog; they also have a guinea pig, which, as Prince William confessed during a visit to Woodgate Valley Urban Farm, often sees its maintenance fall to him due to his children's forgetfulness.

"Prince William said he was so happy stroking Snowflake the guinea pig at Woodgate Valley Urban Farm ... that he didn't want to leave," Telegraph journalist Victoria Ward reported. "He revealed that his kids always forget to clean out their own guinea pig, leaving him to do it."
