POLL: Should King Charles meet up with Prince Harry when he's in the UK this month?

Prince Harry will return to the UK again later this month to attend the WellChild Awards ceremony.

The Duke of Sussex will be in London for the event on September 30 and a meeting with King Charles during his trip has not been ruled out.

A reunion between the father and son could take place with a well-place source telling Express.co.uk: "The King is due to head to London in late September."

They explained: "The King and Queen will mark the 25th anniversary of the Scottish Parliament on September 28 and are then heading south.

"It's not yet been decided if the King will go to London for a meeting with his doctors and possibly his son, or whether he will head straight to Highgrove. There are currently discussions ongoing about finding a mutually agreeable place in the diary."

Harry's upcoming trip will be his fourth visit to the UK this year but he last met with his father in February after it was announced that the King has been diagnosed with cancer.

The pair did not meet during the Duke's visit to the UK in May as Charles was too busy to meet with his son.

They also did not meet on his trip to Norfolk last month to attend his uncle's memorial service.

Speaking about Harry making more visits to his home country, royal historian Hugo Vickers told The Sun: "Well, he does seem to be coming quite often, doesn't he? Which in some ways is a good sign, I think.

"If he keeps coming at least there is a chance at some stage he'll meet up with his father, and you know, maybe this can be a step towards some sort of reconciliation. I think there's quite a long way to go but it's nice that he feels he can come here anyway."

He Vickers added: "The King certainly leaves the door open for him. But I think, if Prince Harry is sitting in California, resenting the Royal Family's attitude to him, he'll just consider a little bit about why that is the case."
