It's a great time to plant Snowdrop bulbs into the lawn to achieve this spectacle in late wintertime.
Snowdrops will flower and die back before you need to do the first cut of the lawn, which makes them perfect for naturalising into the lawn.
I use a bulb planting dibber to open up small holes into the lawn, then I drop a Snowdrop bulb into each hole.
Once the bulb planting is done I cap each hole with some lawn dressing, compost or topsoil to snuggle the bulbs in.
Just plant 20 or so Snowdrops bulbs into a small area of the lawn and you can enjoy the magical little pure white Snowdrop flowers in late Winter into early spring.
They will return each year so do this once and you'll have Snowdrops in that area of the lawn for many years to come.
