Emmerdale villain Tom King's downfall looms in ITV soap after critical mistake

Send Push

villain Tom King could soon face his comeuppance after making a colossal blunder in Monday's gripping episode (Monday 7).

Tom was panicked when he learned Carl had carelessly handed his old tablet to Isaac Dingle, ignorant of the fact that it held incriminating evidence of his abuse towards Belle. Although Moira stumbled upon the distressing footage, her memory was wiped clean due to a seizure from her brain tumour.

In a desperate move, Tom manipulated Isaac for a spare key and stealthily entered his house to reclaim the tablet, narrowly avoiding a run-in with Matty Barton lounging on the sofa. He successfully retrieved his prize and even had the audacity to taunt Belle on the street, claiming she lacked any proof of his wrongdoing and pointing out her doomed fate.

Brazenly, he told Belle: "If I'm really the monster you're making me out to be, how come I'm not in custody by now? I mean, just think about it for a minute. I'll spell it out for you then, shall I?"

Mocking her further, he continued, "So local vet, professional member of the community, clean reputation, no criminal record. And not to mention the fact that there's zero evidence! I wonder why that is, eh? You've got nothing to pin on me, Belle. You're gonna get sent down for what you've done to me, and then they will lock you up for a very, very long time."

His arrogance peaked as he stepped outside with the tablet, viciously stamping on and ultimately shattering its screen with a brick.

However, Carl, who observed the scene from a bedroom window, might spill the beans, potentially leading to Tom's apprehension. Additionally, there's a chance Tom was captured on one of his own security cameras, which he installed supposedly to safeguard the house from burglary but in reality to spy on Belle.

Fears emerge among viewers that in a desperate bid to reclaim his stolen tablet, Tom may harm one of the youths culpable for the theft. A fan exclaimed: "My heart rate is through the roof! I'm so angry, I just know Tom will get his tablet back. When is he going to get his comeuppance!"

Another fan expressed frustration, saying: "If Tom manages to get it back I'm going to stop watching. Don't let him get away with it, they are stupid as it will show other abusers that they can do the same."
