Chris McCausland is currently competing on Strictly Come Dancing, but when it comes to TV shows, it's not his first rodeo.

The TV star and beloved comedian is currently paired up with the BBC's professional dancer Dianne Buswell as they compete together in the TV series, and he's used to having the cameras around.

One appearance on TV took a very awkward turn for him after he had an on-air tiff with his wife Patricia.

Chris, who has made history by appearing as the first ever blind contestant on Strictly, once appeared on David Mitchell's Outsiders with his wife.

During a conversation about how happy their relationship was, Patricia ended up storming off.

When the pair were on the show together, the couple were asked to rate the happiness of their relationship on a scale of 1-10.

Patricia said: "I'll go for a good, solid nine and a half. And that's not to say I don't feel like it's a ten. I just feel there's always room for improvement, because we've got that winning mentality and that's why we're here."

Chris cheekily responded: "You'd go nine and a half?", but it seemed it wasn't the right time for a joke.

His wife his back: "All right. I know, okay, what do you want then? Go on, you tell him then. Go on, we're here to be honest, you tell him."

She added: "All right. You know what. There you go. Yeah, see you later," as she stormed away.

Chris and his wife have a very happy marriage away from the spotlight after meeting very early on in his career. He previously said to Disability Horizons that they met when she was making a programme about the Edinburgh Festival.

They tied the knot in 2012 after he proposed during a Pearl Jam concert at Hyde Park.
