Alison Hammond has revealed that she will not be presenting Friday's episode of on ITV alongside Dermot O'Leary-just hours before she was due to appear on air. The 50-year-old star posted the update to her account, explaining that she was not feeling great.
Posting to her Stories, she added a breaking news banner across the bottom of the post as she appeared without makeup with her hair slicked back, held in place by a fabric headband. The star explained: "Good morning, everybody. I've put a filter on this because I look so rough." Sounding congested, the 50-year-old continued: "I've had the worst hayfever for the last 2-3 days. It's hit me like a bus.

"So, I'm just letting you know that I'm not going to be making today but the lovely Lisa Snowdon is going to be stepping into my shoes and looking after my lovely Dermot." She continued by reassuring fans that she won't be away for too long, adding: "I'll be back next week. I'm fine but I've got lots of drugs. I've got all the hay fever stuff. I've got the nose stuff. I've got the eye situation. I'm all over it."
Alison is set to star in a new show, which starts this evening, over on BBC. Alison Hammond's Big Weekend promises to give viewers an insider's perspective into the lives of some prominent British celebrities, including Perrie Edwards, Spice Girls Mel B and Sir Lenny Henry.
The synopsis describes: "All six celebrities open themselves up to Alison, sharing personal revelations, fun times, and the occasional tear as they show Alison the people and places that have shaped them into the stars they are today.
"The show takes Alison across the UK as she asks the big questions viewers are dying to know - all in her unique and hilarious way that has made the star one of the country's most beloved TV personalities."
Alison shared her excitement about the new TV venture as she previously posted to : "Oh, babes, buckle up! Big Weekend is all about me getting celebs to have the juiciest, funniest, and sometimes most emotional chats.
"It's a full-blown experience! We're talking deep convos, belly laughs and spontaneous singalongs. From roller coasters with Mel B to ice baths with Jimmy Carr, this series is packed with surprises."
