Ultraviolette Automotive has officially started exporting its high-performance electric motorcycle, the F77 Mach 2, to the European Union. The first batch of these made-in-India bikes was flagged off by Union Minister for Heavy Industries, H D Kumaraswamy, in a ceremony on Tuesday. This marks a significant step for India in the global electric vehicle (EV) industry.
Speaking at the event, Kumaraswamy highlighted the importance of this moment, stating, "Ultraviolette’s expansion into Europe showcases India’s potential to compete internationally in the automotive industry." He emphasized that this development is in line with the government's vision to position India as a global leader in EV manufacturing.
The flag-off ceremony, held at Ultraviolette’s manufacturing plant in Bengaluru, was also attended by Karnataka Minister for Industries and Commerce, M B Patil, along with other key company officials. Kumaraswamy further praised Indian startups for driving innovation in electric mobility, reinforcing the country's commitment to becoming a global hub for EV production.
Niraj Rajmohan, Co-founder and CTO of Ultraviolette, expressed his excitement about entering the European market. "Europe is a critical region for electric mobility, and we believe that the F77 Mach 2 will help change how Indian electric vehicles are perceived there," Rajmohan said. He added that this is just the beginning of Ultraviolette’s journey toward pushing the boundaries of EV innovation worldwide.
