Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Wardha, Maharashtra, on Friday to inaugurate several key initiatives under the National 'PM Vishwakarma' Programme. Accompanying him were Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, along with Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary.

The National 'PM Vishwakarma' Programme marks one year since its implementation, and during the event, PM Modi is expected to address attendees and present certificates and loans to the programme's beneficiaries. As part of the initiative, 18 beneficiaries across various trades will receive credit under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. Additionally, the Prime Minister will unveil a commemorative stamp recognizing the achievements of the programme.

A significant highlight of the visit is the foundation stone laying for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Amravati. The park, which will span 1,000 acres and be developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, is part of a larger effort to establish seven PM MITRA Parks nationwide. These parks are designed to position India as a global hub for textile manufacturing.

In another key initiative, PM Modi will also launch Maharashtra’s 'Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Center' scheme. This program aims to provide free skill training to 1,50,000 youths annually, offering opportunities across various renowned colleges in the state.

Moreover, the Prime Minister will introduce the 'Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme,' which is designed to support women-led startups. This scheme will offer early-stage financial assistance of up to Rs 25 lakh, with special provisions for women from backward and economically weaker sections, helping to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among women.
