Lorry Carrying Endangered Crocodiles and Other Animals Overturns in Telangana

Hyderabad: A lorry transporting eight endangered crocodiles, along with two white elephants, two tigers, and other animals, overturned near the Mondigutta forest check post in Telangana's Nirmal district, according to police officials. The incident occurred on Wednesday, and a case has been filed against the driver for rash driving.

The driver, Abdul Mannan Mandal, 51, lost control of the vehicle while traveling on NH-44, crashing into cement pillars before the truck fell off the road into the wild. The lorry sustained significant damage as a result of the collision. Nirmal district Superintendent of Police provided details about the accident, stating, "On October 16, a lorry coming from Patna toward Bengaluru reached near the Mondigutta forest check post at about 13:00 hrs. The driver drove the lorry container in a rash and negligent manner and hit the cement pillars on the NH-44 road, causing the container lorry to overturn and be damaged."

A case was registered against Abdul Mannan Mandal under Section 281 BNS of Mamada PS of Nirmal District. Mandal is a resident of Sankpur, Gopal Nagar, West Bengal. Fortunately, despite the severity of the accident, all the animals were safely rescued.
