BSF Foils Infiltration Attempt in Amritsar, Pakistani Intruder Neutralized

The Border Security Force (BSF) successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt on September 16 in the Amritsar district of Punjab, killing a Pakistani intruder who crossed the international border.

The incident occurred around 9:13 p.m. when the intruder, taking advantage of the darkness, crossed the boundary near Ratankhurd village and moved towards the border security fence. BSF officials reported that despite being challenged, the intruder did not halt and continued advancing aggressively.

BSF troops fired at the intruder, neutralizing him on the spot. Authorities recovered Rs 270 in Pakistani currency, including a half-torn 10 Rupees note, from his possession. The deceased intruder's body has been handed over to the Gharinda police station for further action.

On the night of September 16, 2024, at approximately 9:13 p.m., vigilant Border Security Force (BSF) personnel stationed in Amritsar's Ratankhurd village detected unusual activity along the international boundary (IB). The intruder, a Pakistani national, had stealthily crossed the IB and was moving toward the border security fence under the cover of darkness.

Despite immediate intervention and warnings from the BSF troops, the intruder ignored the commands to halt and continued advancing aggressively towards the fence. In response to this threat, the BSF troops were compelled to fire at the intruder, neutralizing him on the spot. Upon inspection, the security forces found and seized Rs 270 in Pakistani currency, including a half-torn 10 Rupees note, from the intruder's belongings. The body of the deceased intruder has been handed over to the Gharinda police station for further investigation and action.
