A woman has posted her "honest review" after experiencing the "most expensive" railway journey in the UK. Isobel Lorna turned to TikTok to chronicle her adventure aboard The Belmond British Pullman - a refurbished 1920s locomotive that pampers passengers "like royalty" as it operates various routes across the country, showcasing stunning landscapes.
The traveller posted clips of herself boarding her carriage at London Victoria alongside her mum. She additionally recorded the adventure for her online followers. In the brief video, she proclaimed: "Inside the carriages is like stepping back in time." The Pullman indeed boasts its "antique-style marquetry, vintage lighting and heritage upholstery" throughout.
Displaying the period crockery arranged on their table, she went on: "We were sat in this beautiful coupe and we actually found out this was Winston Churchill's favourite place to sit."

The duo were then presented with a delectable five-course feast throughout the six hour excursion, as Isobel captured herself tucking into soup and enjoying Champagne, remarking: "We basically spent the whole day eating and drinking."
However, that wasn't everything - as Isobel proceeded to disclose that guests were also entertained by The Spitfire Sisters - a 1940s-influenced vocal harmony trio who performed whilst moving through the train's carriages.
Isobel added: "We briefly stopped in Dover to stretch our legs and we almost missed the train home." However, the mother-daughter pair managed to make it just in time for dessert and a glass of rosé.
The TikToker couldn't help but rave about their experience, exclaiming: "All of the food was so delicious."
She also gave her followers a sneak peek at her cheeseboard, adding: "I couldn't believe it was made on the train and we were served by the lovely Thomas, who made our experience so special."
As they pulled back into London Victoria, Isobel revealed that she and her fellow passengers were gifted with their own bouquet of flowers.
"I didn't think we could be any more spoiled," she gushed as she stepped off the train.
Considering that packages for two people - including a luxury meal - are being sold for around £800, it's no surprise that the pair were treated like royalty!
While it's certainly not a cheap outing, it could be a fantastic way to celebrate a special occasion.
The British Pullman operates year-round, travelling to a variety of destinations such as Kent, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Surrey, with its main departure station being London Victoria. Although it's usually pulled by a diesel engine, a steam train is used on selected dates.
According to the excursion's website: "Restored to their former glory, British Pullman's carriages are as famous today as in the heyday of train travel. Whether you opt for a Sunday Lunch with flowing Champagne - as many of our guests do - there's a journey for everyone."
In addition, the service also offers immersive experiences in partnership with Private Drama Events. Belmond announced: "One Way Ticket, our new Murder Mystery lunch, takes you to the fictional city of Arcadia for a moment of grandeur and a dash of adventure. Can you solve the mystery before it's too late?"
