Beloved comedy series The Inbetweenerscould be making a huge comebacknext year, with all four original stars eyeing up the potential reunion. Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas are said to be on board with the plans.
The E4 comedy became a hit with fans as the three series fan from 2008 to 2010. Its success even resulted in two films that followed in 2011 and 2014.
The show's creators have now teased they are plotting more adventures for the four iconic characters - Jay Cartwright, Will McKenzie, Neil Sutherland and Simon Cooper. Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, who were the masterminds behind the show, are said to have signed a deal with production company Banijay UK.

Chef executive Patrick Holland said he was “delighted to pick up the conversation about the future of The Inbetweeners with them”. He told the Sun: “They have an infectious creative vision for the brand which will resonate with audiences old and new.”
Iain and Damon added: “It’s incredibly exciting to be plotting more adventures for our four favourite friends (ooh, friends)." The company have managed to sign a deal that can "bring The Inbetweeners back" across film, TV and stage.
The Inbetweeners' cast have been keen about the idea of a reunion as Joe Thomas, who played Simon, said they would all want to take part. Asked if there had been any conversations, he teased: “Yes, it’s happened in various forms.
“All of us feel it would be nice to do. We’re all still around. We’re all still in each other’s lives. We all still like each other. And if it was something that came up, I think we would want to do it."
Over the summer, fans were left convinced something was brewing when Joe and James Buckley, who played Jay, shared a very cryptic post. In the photos posted on Instagram, Joe and James stood beside each other for a photoshoot.
The pair did not give anything away, and James captioned the post: "Working on something..." One fan asked: "Inbetweeners 3?" whilst another listed their wishes should a reunion come about.
Someone said: "We need an inbetweeners reunion. Set 10/15 years later. Jay gets married and carnage ensues. American Pie reunion showed that it can be done well," and finished their comment off with a fingers crossed emoji.
A third fan simply wrote: "Inbetweeners 3, we waiting," and another joked: "Where are the other two melons?" Last year, James, who has sons Harrison, 14, and 12-year-old Jude, admitted that signing on to star in the role that made him famous once again would be the best thing he could for his bank balance.
He told OK!: "It’s no secret that would be the most profitable thing I could go into right now. I do have children, I do have a family, I do have bills, and sometimes you’ve got to take that into consideration, just as a practical thing, a boring, dull, provider of a family thing.
"All that stuff I do think about and what’s great is I know, if four of us boys get together — and [writers] Iain Morris and Damon — and we all have a little chat and we said ‘Shall we go again?’ I know it would be greenlit straight away!"
