Selena Gomez shares first look at breathtaking wedding dress and fairytale ceremony

Selena Gomez and music producer Benny Blanco tied the knot in a gorgeous fairy-tale wedding on Saturday (27 September). The Only Murders In The Building star shared photos of the big day on her Instagram, including pics of her breathtaking wedding dress.

For the ceremony, Selena wore a customRalph Lauren dress. It was sleeveless with a high neck and open back, complete with floral detailing. To match, Benny's suit was also custom Ralph Lauren.

The rest of Selena's look consisted of a classic and chic bob, minimalist make-up and her marquise diamond engagement ring. She went barefoot for the photos, which were taken outside.

Selena and Benny only revealed they were dating in December 2023. They had been dating or six months before that. A year later, the two announced on Instagram that they had gotten engaged. She told the press that the ring was perfect.

"Ever since the Good for You days—that was, gosh, so many years ago—that’s the diamond I’ve always dreamed of,” she told Interview, referencing the 2015 song’s “I’m in my marquise diamonds, I’m a marquise diamond” lyric.

Selena kept her wedding planning private, but it was only August when she admitted on the podcast that she and Benny had too much going on to organise the day.

"I couldn't be more excited," she said. "It’s just there’s so much kind of happening in the moment with [him] working on some projects that he has to wrap up. And we just have things we want to finish in our own personal endeavours before we get into all the nitty-gritty.”

But things must have progressed quickly, as she got married a month later. This came just after Selena's best friend Taylor Swift got engaged.

Taylor had been dating NFL star Travis Kelce since the summer of 2023 and made their relationship public that September. Earlier this year, the couple shared photos that showed Travis proposing to the pop star amid a garden of flowers. The post was captioned: "Your english teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

Selena and Taylor have been friends for over a decade. They first met in 2008 when they were each dating a Jonas Brother - Nick for Selena, Joe for Taylor. "It was the best thing we got out of those relationships," Selena joked in an interview nine years later.

By 2015, Selena was a firm member of Taylor's 'squad' and featured alongside several other members of the friendship group, such as Cara Delevigne and Gigi Hadid, in the music video for Bad Blood. Both have continued to support each other's careers.
