Marks and Spencer's £10 perfumes 'smell just like YSL, Chanel and Paco Rabanne'

Marks and Spencer shoppers have been left impressed after spotting several perfumes for 'bargain' prices that smell 'designer'. Laura White, known as Money Saving Official on Instagram, shared a video from her local store's beauty section to highlight a range of alternative perfumes that shoppers say 'smell like luxury' - but at an affordable cost.

The 100ml bottles are £10 each and are part of Marks and Spencer's own brand label. Laura says they could easily rival the high-end names like Yves Saint Laurent, Paco Rabanne and Chanel.

She starts with Midnight Blossom, costing £10 for 100ml. With notes of white flower, mandarin and tuberose, it was said to be an ideal swap for anyone that uses YSL's Black Opium, which can cost up to £125 for a 90ml bottle.

One shopper commented: "Fabulous long lasting smell, beautiful and subtle to wear!" Another added: "I used to use an expensive brand until about ten years ago, treated myself again recently and, oh, the disappointment. This Eau de Toilette was recommended as a ‘smell alike’ and really pleased with it."

Fans of Paco Rabanne’s Lady Million, which usually costs around £105 for 80ml, could stand to save close to £100 by trying out M&S' Warm Neroli. The "elegant scent" draws in "citrusy notes of neroli and bergamot to meet an earthy drydown of musk". A fan posted: "Lovely smell. Long lasting and better quality than many brands several times more expensive!"

The classic Chanel Coco Mademoiselle usually sets customers back £145 for 100ml, but M&S' Soft Iris spray is said to smell 'just like' it for only £10 at 100ml. One shopper's five star review claimed: "Reminds me of Coco Chanel! I am obsessed! Great for everyday wear."

The biggest saving that Laura highlighted came from Marks and Spencer's Warmth spray, with a 100ml bottle at £18. This is said to remind shoppers of the £234 Le Labo Santal 33 Eau de Parfum.

One viewer replied: "A very good EDP with good price. It’s long lasting to me, I can still smell it after 10 hrs on me." Another said: "I have grown to love this perfume over the past year so to find it in a larger bottle is great"
