Love Island alumni Jess White has opened up about turning down All Stars – and why skipping it might’ve been a blessing in disguise. The 23-year-old, who caused a stir in Series 10 with her feisty firepit moments, revealed she was approached earlier this year.
“I did have a couple of conversations with the producers and met with the execs – they were all lovely,” Jess told us. “But it just didn’t work out timing-wise for me.”
And would she go in next year? “If it felt like the right time, yeah. But January’s a long way off – I could have a husband by then!” she joked. Still, Jess admits watching this year’s All Stars lineup didn’t leave her swooning. “There wasn’t actually anyone I fancied,” she confessed. “I probably would’ve had to do a friendship couple with Omar – just ‘cause he’s my mate. And that’s boring!”

Since leaving the villa, Jess says the biggest challenge hasn’t been love, but trolls. “The online scrutiny is insane,” she said. “I’ll post a hair video and people say I’m trying to be like someone else – it’s exhausting.”
She adds, “I expected some negativity, but I didn’t realise how cruel people can be. The lengths some go to just to leave a nasty comment – it’s shocking.”
Still, Jess is keeping her head high and options open. And while the current season is underway, Jess also gave her thoughts on the antics going on in the villa. Yasmin
Fans were left fuming after Ben continued to belittle Yasmin to the boys in scenes that aired last week (June 27), calling her "a nobody". He already left ITV viewers incensed when he was shown calling the girl "irrelevant" as they split up.
“I mean, she’s a bombshell and she’s in there for a reason,” Jess said when speaking about Yasmin. “It is difficult when you’re in there and you’re an OG, because anyone who comes in, you do feel threatened by them. I always tried to make a point of making them feel welcome, because it is nerve-wracking. It can be lonely when you’re a bombshell. A couple of the girls who came in on my season felt really isolated, so I always tried to make sure that they didn’t feel that way.”
“I do think that’s what's happening with Yasmin this season; she seems like she’s becoming isolated, and I don’t like that. I’m not saying she’s going about things the right way, but equally, it’s not nice if she is feeling isolated and she can’t go and speak to whoever she wants.”

Speaking about other cast members, Jess had a lot to say, especially aboutHarry Cooksley, who fans are saying is playing a game.
“Oh my God! Is he not just Tom Clare’s double? [laughs] I’m sorry, but what the hell! When he first went in, I wasn’t sure about him, because I couldn’t get over the fact that he’s 30, he’s so immature! He just denies everything that’s put at him, but then just is like “oh wait, yeah I did say that!” He’s getting away with murder! Helena is letting him get away with mischief!”
“I think I’d have a few words with him as well, I mean if I were in there, it would probably be World War 3 again because I can’t hold my opinions unfortunately.”
