Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Quick action by two Railway Protection Force (RPF) officers saved a young woman's life at Ujjain Railway Station.
The heroic act came to the fore through a video going viral on social media.
In the video, it can be seen that when a woman slipped through the train's gate while trying to deboard it, the police officials surveillancing the passenger crowd rushed towards and saved the woman.
According to information, Sub-Inspector Shivsingh Baghel and Head Constable Mahesh Gaurasya were deployed at the station during the time of incident. They noticed the woman dangerously close to the railway tracks. Without wasting a moment, they rushed to her and pulled her away from the tracks, preventing a possible tragedy.
Thanks to their bravery and alertness, the woman is safe. The incident has been praised by passengers and railway officials alike.
Alarmingly, such incidents have become frequent at various railway stations with many videos surfacing online.
Similar incident in UP in April
In a similar incident on April 3, a woman had slipped while attempting to deboard a moving train when at UP's Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction.
Fortunately, constable Shiv Kumar Sharma was present at the platform at the time of incident. As soon as be noticed her, he acted with swift reflexes and pulled her to safety.

Passengers Save Dog After Scary Fall at Railway Platform
Another similar incident took place in April, in which a man attempted to board a moving train along with his pet dog.
While the man tried to pull the hesitant dog onto the train, the animal slipped and fell into the gap between the platform and the moving train.
Quick-thinking passengers immediately pulled the emergency chain, bringing the train to a halt just in time.
Thanks to their prompt action, the dog was rescued safely without injury.

An alert RPF constable saved the life of a woman passenger at Gujarat's Dahod station.
The incident occurred when the woman slipped between the gaps while trying to board the moving Train No. 02925 Paschim Express.
Reacting swiftly, the constable rushed to her aid and pulled her back to safety, narrowly averting a major mishap.
With the increasing numbers of such life threatening incidents, Indian Railways strongly urges all passengers to refrain from boarding or alighting from moving trains, emphasizing that such actions can be life-ending!
