Saquib Nachan, a former office-bearer of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and a key accused in the ISIS Maharashtra terror module case, was admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi on Monday following a brain stroke.
According to sources, Nachan's condition is extremely critical, and he is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The Tihar Jail authorities have informed his family about his medical condition.
Nachan was arrested in 2023 for his alleged role as an "Ameer" (leader) of ISIS operations in India.
According to National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials, Nachan is being shifted from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital to Safdarjung Hospital for advanced medical treatment, as his condition remains critical. Nachan’s family members have reached the hospital following notification from Tihar Jail authorities regarding his medical condition.
