Munro lays groundwork for Islamabad's win

Despite the controversy, Munro's innings laid the groundwork for Islamabad’s successful chase. Munro, scored a brisk 45 off 28 balls and was dismissed shortly after the altercation by Michael Bracewell, with Iftikhar ironically taking the catch.

Opening batter Andries Gous starred with an unbeaten 80 off just 45 balls, guiding the defending champions to victory with 17 balls to spare in pursuit of 169. Earlier, Multan had posted 168, powered by Usman Khan’s 61 off 40 and a slow-paced 36 from Rizwan.

Iftikhar contributed 10 runs with the bat and bowled two overs, conceding 20 runs without picking up a wicket.
