Pets Caring Tips: Monsoon season brings many problems for humans as well as pets. Problems like fungal infection, irritability, and lethargy become common due to moisture and dirt. In such a situation, pets can be kept safe by providing a dry and clean environment, fresh food, and timely veterinary care.

While the showers of monsoon bring relief to the common people, this season brings many problems for pets. If you are seeing something like sudden irritability, fear, lethargy, or lack of appetite in your pet's nature, then be alert. This may be the effect of the weather. Sudden changes in moisture, dirt, and environment affect both the health and behavior of pets.
In such a situation, with some easy but important measures, you can keep your pets healthy and safe this season. Special care has to be taken in a dry and clean environment. Due to moisture in monsoon, the risk of fungal infection is highest. Therefore, the living place of pets must be dry and clean. If their bed or sitting place gets wet, change it immediately.
Dry thoroughly after bathing or getting wet. It is very important to dry the skin of the pet completely after getting wet or bathing in the rain. Fungus and bacteria grow on wet skin. In such a situation, wipe it well with a towel and if needed, use a hair dryer.
Clean the paws and hair regularly. Mud and dirt are common in the rainy season. Clean the paws and body hair of the pet thoroughly after coming from outside. This will prevent infection and bacteria.
It is very important to give fresh food and clean water. Food can spoil quickly in monsoon. Always give fresh and light food to the pet. Wash the eating utensils daily and give boiled or filtered water to drink. Keep regular veterinary checkups and medicines. Diseases spread rapidly in the rain. Get a checkup from a veterinary doctor from time to time, and get de-worming and vaccination done. Get information about anti-fungal powder and necessary supplements from the doctor.

If they are scared of thunder, stay with them. Some pets are scared of the sound of lightning or thunder. Calm them down with love, hold them in your arms or keep them busy with their favourite toys. Do not leave them alone.
The rainy season is sensitive not only for humans but also for pets. With a little caution and loving care, you can not only keep them healthy but also make this season pleasant for them.
