KD Lakhani, District Collector, Porbandar, said that there have been no casualties due to the incessant rainfall in the districts.
"Due to the incessant rainfall in the last few days in Porbandar district, it has caused waterlogging in Porbandar city. There was no casualty. We brought in dewatering pumps. We got help from the state government. They sent more dewatering pumps and manpower. We found out that there are blockages in the drain. We have started massive work to clear that blockage," Lakhani said on Monday.
Meanwhile, the lives of people in Surat have been disrupted after the rains lashed the city on Monday.

The heavy rains have led to severe waterlogging on the roads in many areas of the city.
Visuals showed several vehicles stuck on the road due to excessive waterlogging. The city also witnessed a heavy downpour on Sunday.

Earlier, Porbandar, Junagadh and Devbhumi Dwarka districts have been facing waterlogging due to the heavy rains, which have resulted in traffic snarls and the closure of some roads, causeways and underpasses.
Speaking to ANI about the hardships the residents have been facing due to the waterlogging, a priest said, "Although the rain in Porbandar has stopped since the last 18 hours, there are still a few areas that are under the water. Apart from a few areas, even the temples are flooded."
Further, he said, "The famous Rokadiya Hanuman temple is also flooded. Even after the rain has stopped, the Rokadiya Hanuman temple is still under one-foot water."
"The rains have, however, not stopped the devotees from going to the temple for darshan. Even today, the worshippers and Lord Hanuman's followers have come with coconuts and flowers to present as offerings. The temple is flooded but the flow of worshippers has not decreased," he said. (ANI)
