Diljit Dosanjh, a leading artist in the Punjabi music industry, is not only known for his exceptional music but is also known for his standout fashion sense. Well, he clearly proved this and made history when he debuted at the Met Gala 2025 and walked the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The singer and actor turned many heads with his Maharaja-inspired look, designed by Prabal Gurung. This year, even Diljit has been voted the best-dressed celeb at the world's biggest fashion event in a poll conducted by Vogue.
The 'Lover' singer has topped the list in the poll, beating fashionistas including Zendaya and Rihanna.

According to Vogue, the fashion magazine came out with its Best Dressed in the whole list as voted by the fans. The poll was conducted where the readers were asked to choose their favourite look from 307 different outfits from the red carpet.
The singer represented Punjabi culture in a Prabal Gurung sherwani that beat all the other celebs, and he emerged as the best-dressed.
Diljit represented the culture of PunjabWith dressing in the Prabal Gurung Sherwani, Diljit paid homage to Maharaja Bhupinder Singh at the Met Gala by wearing a bespoke ivory sherwani, turban, and exquisite jewellery that included an elaborate necklace.
The ensemble also featured a ceremonial sword and a cape adorned with a map of Punjab, inscribed with Gurumukhi script.

After Diljit Dosanjh, the second best on the list was South Korean rapper-singer S. Coups, who wore a grey Boss suit that was inspired by a Korean handbook jacket.
Diljit and Coups were followed by Hollywood star Zendaya, who wore a Louis Vuitton suit; singer Teyana Taylor, in a Ruth E. Carter outfit; and pop star Rihanna, in a Marc Jacobs design.

Following this in the list were Nicki Minaj in a Thom Browne outfit, Shakira in a Prabal Gurung design, and Lewis Hamilton in a Grace Wales Bonner outfit. After this, Lisa was spotted in Louis Vuitton, and Sabrina Carpenter was in Louis Vuitton.
Lastly, from India, Shah Rukh Khan also made his debut at this year's Met Gala; it could not make it to the list.
