Life Insurance Corporation i.e. LIC is running a very wonderful scheme for the workers working in the unorganized sector. The name of this scheme is Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana. In which families living below the poverty line can get a life cover of up to Rs 75000 for just Rs 200. Let us tell you that in this insurance scheme, an annual premium of Rs 200 has to be paid.
If the insured dies in an accident. Then he is given Rs 75000. Even if he becomes disabled, he is given Rs 75000. Rs 37500 is given for partial disability. If someone dies a natural death, then he is given up to Rs 30000. Apart from this, two children of the insured are also given a scholarship of Rs 100 every month from 9th to 12th.
This is how you can apply for the scheme
To apply for the Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana, the age of the applicant should be between 18 years to 59 years. The family should be below the poverty line and only one person should be earning in it. You cannot apply online in this scheme. To apply, you have to fill and submit the form through the nodal agency. In which necessary documents will also have to be submitted.
