Vernon Kay makes awkward comment about Rylan Clark's appearance on Radio 2 show

Vernon Kay was left gobsmacked when Rylan Clark unexpectedly crashed the Radio 2 schedule, delivering an impromptu "fashion show" in the corridors of Broadcasting House. Earlier today, Rylan, 35, gave Zoe Ball and Vernon a glimpse of his style, strutting his stuff in a "jumpsuit".

Zoe, 53, couldn't help but share the moment, saying: "We're quite lucky at the moment because there's a corridor between Vernon and I but we can see each other and at the moment we are getting a fashion show, shall we call it from Rylan in a jumpsuit."

Vernon quipped back: "It's not a fashion show. People pay good money for that Rylan, you know they do."

As Rylan seemed to be leaving the studios, Vernon called out: "Where are you going, don't go out of the line of sight, stay there, it's like a ray of sunshine in the studio. He's like a chiselled god isn't he?"

The cheeky banter continued with Rylan asking Vernon "if he liked his scent", followed by what appeared to be a suggestive gesture. Vernon responded with a laugh: "That's a phone call to HR that is Rylan," reports the Manchester Evening News.

Despite the hilarity, Vernon noted it "wasn't the same" without Scott Mills around, although he admitted you've "got to love" Rylan. The former Celebrity Big Brother champ, who hosts his own Saturday afternoon show on BBC Radio 2, had recently filled in for Zoe Ball after she left her slot in 2019.

Vernon also dropped a teaser about his upcoming show, hinting that pop icon Kylie Minogue might join him for his KaRYoke singing battle this Friday.

He posted a snap with the Aussie pop icon, teasing "KYRYoke .... Coming Soon" alongside a love heart emoji. The tease whipped his followers into a frenzy, with one exclaiming: "How are you just casually standing there with Kylie! You're a SUPERSTAR MAN!"

TV host Ruth Langsford, who is pals with Rylan, chimed in: "Cannot wait! ! ! !"

Another admirer gushed: "You're so lucky to meet the queen of pop, wish I could."
