Strictly fans 'crying' as Chris McCausland blindfolds Dianne as partnership grows

The much-loved duo, who have won fans over with their sweet friendship and funny jokes during training, shared their first blindfold challenge last week ahead of their performance on the One show. After fans pleaded with and Australian dancer Dianne to share more of their behind-the-scenes antics, the pair relented and uploaded another video of Dianne being blindfolded and challenged to carry out a number of tasks.

“Another blindfolded challenge !!!! Sorry it’s so long I was not good at this,” Dianne captioned the video, which has left her fans in stitches. In the clip, comedian Chris tells Dianne he has hidden a bottle of water in the room, and she has to find it with his jumper tied around her head, obscuring her vision. “I’d like you to collect that bottle, take it behind the bar and fill it with water,” he instructed.

Chris then spun Dianne around before telling her the challenge had begun, but they hit an obstacle when the dancer asked Chris if she was close to the bottle. “I don’t know where we are either,” he said, as they both began to cackle with laughter. “It’s so scary though!” Dianne exclaimed, as she began to cautiously side step around the room. “Why are you walking like that?” Chris laughed. “You’re walking like you’ve s**t your pants!”

Chris then stood back as Dianne scrambled around trying to figure out where the bar was, and ended up going out of the training room door into the corridor. The pair were in hysterics as Dianne asked if they were “in the toilet”, and the comedian almost combusted as he listened to the dancer call out for him as she accidentally became trapped in the corridor.

Dianne called out to camerawoman Charlotte, who was also in fits of laughter as she watched Chris and his dance partner get stuck repeatedly behind the door. “I’m so lost,” Dianne exclaimed, as Chris refused to let her get help from Charlotte. Luckily, the dancer eventually found the bar, and squealed with excitement as she finally completed the blindfold challenge. The duo’s latest video was a huge hit with fans, who inundated the comments on Dianne’s post.

“How is the person with the camera holding it all together, I’m crying laughing,” one wrote, as another added: “This had me crying with laughter.” A third chimed in: “The way you’re so reliant on him but he can’t see either,” while one commented: “I'm crying! I don't want Strictly to ever be over cause I'm gonna miss these so much! You two need your own comedy show!”

Others touched upon the close bond between Dianne and Chris, as they thanked them for raising awareness of the comedian’s blindness. “All joking aside demonstrates the importance of staying calm and memory with location in the room with the push or pull of the doors.Thank you so much Chris and Dianne,” one sweetly wrote, as another agreed: “I could watch hours with you two. The perfect pairing. No one ever gets to see this much behind the scenes and the friendship you have is fantastic. It's like a show within a show.

“You're both learning so much and I think this truly teaches and brings awareness to so many people. Forever laughing with you both. Nothing excites me more than watching these videos two of my favourite people,” they shared. Meanwhile, one cheeky fan noted that their video was simply “the 'blind leading the blind' come to life”.
