Amanda Owen, the shepherdess and mother of nine, said her goodbyes to viewers on Monday evening following the conclusion of 'Our Farm Next Door'.

The Yorkshire-based farmer couldn't hide her emotions as she pondered over the family's journey and the challenges they faced while refurbishing Anty John's.

"I did feel a bit emotional when I came here today," Amanda confessed, before revealing: "Because I have invested so much into this."

She shared her long-term contemplations about the project, saying, "It has occupied my thoughts for years about how this was going to happen."

In a touching moment during the show's finale, a series of clips featuring the Owens played, accompanied by Amanda's heartfelt narration, reports .

"it has come a long way but we still have a long way to go as well," she remarked, discussing the progress at Anty John's.

Amanda highlighted that the work had been largely structural but noted the next phase would involve more intricate tasks: "All the focus has been on the structure. Once we start on the interior then it becomes a different kind of thing, which basically involves electricians, plumbers and heating engineers."

Ahead of the broadcast, Amanda took to social media to remind her fans about the final episode, posting: "It's been a manic Monday so this is a late reminder that at 9pm you need to tune in to More4 for the last episode of Our Farm Next Door."

She also provided a tip for those who might miss the live airing: "If you miss it or forget then you can do the catch up thingy on All4."

The end of the series left many fans expressing their disappointment on social media, with several sharing their hope for its return.

One viewer responded with regret: "Oh no! I hope we can watch more very soon. Absolutely brilliant loved it."

Another viewer lamented: "Ah so sad it has finished, it relaxes me so much just watching the programme."

Despite the series conclusion, it was confirmed at the end of the show that Amanda and her family would return in the New Year for another season.

An excited fan exclaimed: "Well the last episode, as if Monday's aren't bad enough. Good to know there will be another series in the New Year."
