Neymar shares telling response to Arsenal transfer demand during Frank Warren exchange

Neymar couldn't help but chuckle when the idea of him making a switch to was floated. The ex-Barcelona and PSG ace, who's now with Al-Hilal following his £77million move in 2023, was ringside at the Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday night.

There, he witnessed Beterbiev clinch an unexpected win to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion. The 32-year-old Brazilian was spotted with boxing promoter Frank Warren, the man behind Queensberry, sharing a laugh and a joke during their quick on-camera chat.

Warren, who's an Arsenal supporter, fancied in a Gunners shirt and hinted at a Premier League stint for the Brazilian legend. "This is the man, he's coming to England," Warren declared.

"He's going to play for Arsenal." Neymar responded with a smile and laughter, prompting Warren to add: "We need you, we need you," as per reports from .

Neymar then quipped: "I'm back, I'm back." Neymar has resumed training as he recovers from an ACL injury. Since joining Al-Hilal, the Santos prodigy has played only five games, due to an ACL tear sustained in Brazil's World Cup qualifier loss to Uruguay last year.

The 2015 winner, currently on the books of the Saudi club after penning a lucrative two-year deal worth a reported £2.5million per week, is in the last year of his contract there. Al-Hilal's manager Jorge Jesus isn't expecting Neymar to return to action until 2025 and their relationship is reportedly not the warmest.

Neymar has never hidden his admiration for the , stating this back in 2017: "The Premier League is a championship that amazes me. I like the playing style and the teams.

"And who knows? Someday, I would like to play [in] it, yes. I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool - these are the teams that are always there fighting."
