Mike Tyson can't hide his reaction to Jake Paul stunt during face-off

Mike Tyson couldn’t help but smirk when Jake Paul took advantage of a photo opportunity by spraying his deodorant at him.

The never-ending promotional tour for the upcoming fight between the pair rolled into the AT&T Stadium in Texas over the weekend. And while in the stadium which will host their fight on November 15, Paul and Tyson posed for the cameras on Dallas Cowboys’ field.

Wearing Cowboys jerseys, the 27-year-old Paul and the 58-year-old Tyson stood next to each other and tried to act tough. That idea was quickly derailed by Paul, who produced a bottle of his W deodorant and sprayed it towards Tyson.

The legendary heavyweight tried to suppress a smile, but did a poor job before rolling his eyes at the actions of the younger man. Posting the clip on YouTube, Paul wrote: “As you can see W is mood boosting. Just look at that grin on Mike’s face.”

We are now on the second run of promotion for the fight after the original date in July was cancelled following a health scare for Tyson. He was forced to pull out of the bout following an ulcer flare-up on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.

Tyson has admitted that he is still not in the best of health. "It's hard to walk right now," he said while attending a Cage Wars event. "But two months from now I'm going to be perfect. The fight is won in the gym. Listen, I’ll do anything that will help me. I'm going to enjoy my time here tonight with all my childhood friends, and the hell with Jake Paul."

Paul has a 10-1 record in boxing with his only defeat coming on points against Tommy Fury in 2023. Tyson, meanwhile, retired from professional boxing in 2005 and his last fight was a much-criticised bore draw against Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

The fight is being streamed by Netflix, with Paul and Tyson sharing a $80million (£60m) pot. Many in the boxing world have suggested the duo are only doing it for the money and that it could damage the credibility of the sport itself.

Paul dismissed those criticisms at a recent press conference. Asked why he’s fighting, he replied: “Making history. This is what it's all about for me, man. I'm a kid from Ohio. [...] They'll never give me credit. That's the way it is. If I was walking on water, they would say it's because I couldn't swim. And this is to make history. The people think I'm going to get knocked out by this strong, powerful guy.

“All the people in my comments say, ‘look at his power. He's going to get KO’d.’ This has taken a chance to fight somebody as vicious as Mike can be. You got to risk it for the biscuit. That's the name of the game. I'm here to make history. I'm here for a challenge. I'm here to fight one of the most dangerous men in all of boxing.”
