The end of the international break means Liverpool can turn its attention back to Premier League matters – .

With just over two months to go until January, will have another chance to add to his squad very soon. The turn of the year though could also be bad news for the Reds.

With , and all in the final year of their contracts, they’ll be able to negotiate pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs in January unless they put pen to paper at Anfield soon. Liverpool may therefore have to start looking for replacements.

Here is the verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today, including news of potential heirs to two of that aforementioned trio.

Loic Bade (Sevilla)

Sevilla will not listen to offers below $22m (£17m/€20m) for defender Loic Bade, with Liverpool said to be in the running for his signature, according to Spanish outlet .

The Reds are said to be eyeing up the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Virgil van Dijk next summer, with the Liverpool captain's contract expiring at the end of the season.

Bade is said to have a release clause worth around $55m (£42m/€50m), although there are suggestions that Sevilla could be willing to let him go for less.

Liverpool.com says: Bade feels like one of those players who will continue to be linked with Liverpool, even when there seemingly isn't a lot to back up the claims. Whether or not he is of interest to the Reds, the club will have to be thinking about how they go about replacing Van Dijk soon, even if he does sign a new deal.

Micahel Kayode (Fiorentina)

Liverpool is considering a January bid for Fiorentina defender Michael Kayode according to Italian outlet (via ).

It’s claimed that Arne Slot has put the 20-year-old on his wishlist, with the Liverpool boss potentially having to look for a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold. He could face competition for his signature though.

Tottenham had a bid turned down for Kayode during the summer, while Aston Villa was also said to have been interested. The Italian U21 international is thought to be valued at around $28m (£21m/€25m).

Liverpool.com says: Hopefully Liverpool doesn’t need to find a replacement for Alexander-Arnold, but if it does, it might make more sense to target a player with more experience than Kayode. The Reds already have Conor Bradley, who has been a more than able deputy at right-back, but he still has plenty to learn in the Premier League, so having an older head alongside him would be more beneficial.
