It’s almost two years since the icon ended his second, far less successful spell at Old Trafford in the wake of his infamous interview with Piers Morgan, where he and claimed he had been “betrayed” by the club.
Ronaldo has since been trying to offload his luxury pad in the renowned footballers’ enclave of Alderley Edge in Cheshire, south of Manchester. It was put on the market in early 2023 for £5.5million but is now available for £5million.
The seven-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion comes with a leisure suite, including a swimming pool, home cinema, padel and tennis courts and even a two-bedroom guest barn on the 23-acre site. The property, which is on the market with Jackson-Stops, has been showcased by The Luxury Home Show on . While it has been hailed as a “beautiful home” by many viewers, other weren’t convinced by its decor.

Ronaldo has upsized and upgraded since his blockbusting move to the Saudi Pro League, which began a conveyor belt of top talent heading for the Middle East. The Portuguese forward, who turns 40 early next year, boasts plush homes in various locations, including New York, Portugal and Madrid with the total value of his property portfolio believed to exceed £80million.

Exact figures vary but it is believed Ronaldo, who earns £175million, lavished tens of millions of pounds on the property. A similar property in the area measures at 30,000 square metres, has six bedrooms, private access to a breach, a spa, a swimming pool and a showroom for seven cars.
The island is part of a gated community and includes several fine-dining restaurants, a yacht club and a beach resort. The area also directly faces the open sea and the famous Burj Khalifa building. A flight to the Saudi capital Riyadh, where Al-Nassr are based, takes two hours.
