BBC's Escape to the Country fans were left scratching their heads during the latest episode when a house hunter seemed to find fault with a kitchen.
The beloved show, which follows individuals transitioning to countryside living, aired another episode on Thursday (September 5) with presenter Nicki Chapman leading the way. During the episode, Nicki was there to help first-time buyer Natalie, who was currently residing with her parents on the outskirts of Birmingham.
Despite having lived in various cities across the UK, Natalie felt it was time to secure her first permanent home in Shropshire. Accompanied by her mum Ruth for moral support, Natalie had a budget of £520,000 at her disposal.
However, while touring the first property, which boasted a reasonably-sized kitchen, viewers were baffled when she described it as "small". Natalie commented: "The view out of the door and the windows are beautiful and the exposed beams are lovely. Maybe it's a little smaller than I thought."

Ruth chimed in: "I do agree with everything else. It's a bit small I think," reports Wales Online.
Host Nicki also attempted to reassure the duo, explaining that there was additional storage as the kitchen included a pantry too. But viewers at home were puzzled by the remark and took to X formerly known as Twitter to voice their opinions.
One fan quipped: "The kitchen is a bit small???? She's a single lady... how much kitchen do you need?"
Another echoed: "Small kitchen???? Really!!!" While a third queried: "What's wrong with it how it is?"
Despite her initial doubts, Natalie seemed taken with the living room. However, after exploring the upper floor, she admitted: "I like it, I don't feel as 'wow' as downstairs."
While the first property didn't quite hit the mark, the second house was a different story. Upon entering, Natalie and Ruth were speechless, describing it as perfect.
As the show concluded, Natalie informed Nicki that she was prepared to revisit the property to make an offer. Regrettably, it was later disclosed that another buyer had made an accepted offer.
