Chelsea picked up where they left off against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday with another attacking display at Stamford Bridge. They lead 2-0 at half-time over AC Milan after yet another fine 45 minutes.

An own goal from Andrei Coubis and Joao Pedro's early header gave them a 2-0 lead inside seven minutes. Coubis was then sent off before a quarter of the match was up after bringing down Pedro, who was racing through.

Cole Palmer went on to hit the post from a free kick as Chelsea dominated their European opponents and could have had more.

Here, football.london goes through the performances of each player from the first half.

Robert Sanchez - Beat away the one serious attempt on goal and found Pedro with several passes forward. 6

Reece James - Sent in the cross for the own goal opener and dealt well with Rafael Leao. 6

Tosin Adarabioyo - Blocked a Leao shot after Ruben Loftus-Cheek galloped into space in front of the defence and denied the forward after slipping over with a toe poke clearance. 7

Trevoh Chalobah - As strong as ever next to Tosin, covering for his partner after the slip and keeping the ball moving from the back. 7

Marc Cucurella - Popped up all over the pitch as Chelsea had the ball, holding his own with Yunus Musah his most threatening opponent. 7

Enzo Fernandez - Quiet in midfield as Caicedo did most of the tackling and passing. Maresca was unhappy with one of his fouls. 6

Moises Caicedo - Early interception after a dangerous break set the tone for another commanding performance. Constantly broke up play and got it circulating again. 7

Pedro Neto - Crossed for Pedro's header, cutting in and delivering a perfect ball. Produced a slick dummy and shot later on but could only direct it straight at Maignan. Unlucky not to score late on after a good save from Maignan denied him. 7

Cole Palmer - Almost scored two brilliant free kicks, denied by the post once and went narrowly wide with another. Picked up his usual pockets and sprayed passes around. Had one scissor kick attempt but couldn't get it on target. 7

Jamie Gittens - Won the free kick to set up the first goal. Offered plenty pace and directness on the left. 7

Joao Pedro - Nodded in with ease, unmarked in the middle of the area. Drew the Coubis foul for the red card, collecting a bouncing ball. He's already a firm fan favourite. 8
